Lutheran Homes of Oconomowoc, Inc., dba Shorehaven, is a faith-based, not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community nestled on a 23-acre campus along the shores of Lac La Belle in the charming town of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, which is located roughly 45 minutes from both Milwaukee and Madison. The organization’s commitment to innovation, compassion, and community care has earned the trust of older adults, family members, and the community since 1939. Built on a strong faith-filled foundation and with 85 years of Christ-centered service, Shorehaven offers the full continuum of care and services, including independent living, assisted living, Life@Home, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing for approximately 350 residents through the efforts of 385 employees and 200 volunteers.
Shorehaven is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the community in meeting the needs of the next generation. Reporting to the Board of Directors, this individual is responsible for the overall performance of Shorehaven and for developing and executing its strategic vision.
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Health Care Administration, Business Management or related field; Master’s Degree preferred. Significant leadership experience in a CCRC or similar environment, preferably with several years in an executive role leading a multi-disciplinary team is also required. Experience reporting to a Board of Directors is desirable. We are seeking excellent financial acumen, including experience in developing financial strategy, as well as previous success leading growth initiatives, process improvement, involvement in fundraising and development, and demonstrated success in mentoring team members. While the CEO does not directly oversee healthcare, a current Wisconsin NHA license (or the ability to possess and maintain) is also highly desirable.
