Job Description

Description of Role :

We are seeking a dynamic, extraordinary Staff Accountant II with a passion to provide outstanding support and financial solutions in a team environment. If you are a numbers person who enjoys working in the financial services industry, thrives on critical thinking and analysis, this may be the job for you!

Tasks :

Perform monthly financial reporting processes
Prepare month-end financial reports and quarterly regulatory and cash management reports
Complete financial statements
Process manual journal entries
Reconcile general ledger accounts, and serve as a back-up for the accounts payable process.
Assist the Controller in implementing internal controls, improving processes, training employees, preparing for audits, and other duties assigned.

Skills and Requirements :

Bachelor of Business Administration degree required; Accounting and / or Finance degree preferred.

Five years of accounting experience required.

CPA with public accounting and / or financial institution accounting experience a plus.

Strong Excel and analytical skills required.

Knowledge of credit union finance, data processing and other back office operations and leading-edge delivery systems.

Knowledge of credit union rules and regulations, fundamentals of the financial industry, auditing and accounting principles and concepts.

Passion for providing outstanding service and a positive attitude.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.

Effective time management including the ability to prioritize responsibilities and organize work tasks.

Adaptable to a productive team environment where knowledge is shared and feedback and coaching are welcomed.

Work Schedule :

Monday thru Friday 8 : 30am-5 : 30pm

Job type : Direct Hire

Pay : $69,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
