League One Volleyball (LOVB, pronounced “love”) is reimagining the sport of volleyball, and is the only professional league that has a youth-to-pro ecosystem. We believe in the power of sport to create better life outcomes for those who play it.Launched in 2019, LOVB today has the largest youth volleyball community in the U.S., with over 14,000 youth athletes across twenty-six states. LOVB is launching its pro league in January 2025 from the grassroots up, built from its foundation of junior volleyball clubs and led by the world’s best professional players. The idea behind LOVB is championing athletes through their entire volleyball journey, from getting introduced to the sport and developing as youth players, to supporting their recruitment to college programs, to creating pathways for athletes to play professional volleyball here in the United States.It is a groundbreaking time for volleyball, with record audiences viewing the college game, volleyball the #1 most played girls' U.S. youth team sport, and 38M current and former players across the country today. Through LOVB, we are focused on driving both participation in the sport and its fandom, while actively supporting youth and professional players. In this role, you will join a mission-driven, roll-up-your-sleeves team of innovators and builders who have come together to change the paradigm of professional volleyball and women’s sport.The Role : As the Senior Manager, Marketing & Ticketing , you will support ticketing operations, marketing initiatives and go-to-market (GTM) strategies to drive ticket sales and brand awareness. The Senior Manager will work cross-functionally with various teams including marketing, design, ticket sales and operations, and agency partners to ensure the successful launch and execution of key campaigns and activations.This position reports to the SVP Marketing.Responsibilities : Assist in the development, gap assessment, and execution of ticketing, go-to-market strategies.Design and deploy marketing campaigns to drive ticket sales and awareness, working with internal teams to ensure effective execution.Promotional Materials & Field Support : Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling ticket offers and promotional materials.Ensure field teams are equipped with all the necessary tools : brochures, flyers, digital assets, for seamless execution at the grassroots level.Work closely with the LOVB design team to ensure that all campaign and promotional materials align with the brand’s identity.Ensure the visual and creative execution of marketing materials is compelling and consistent across platforms.Coordinate with Marketing Communications managers to ensure that messaging is consistent and aligned across all internal and external communication channels.Manage communication flows between teams to ensure a unified voice in all marketing and ticketing initiatives.Assist in the execution of partnership activations, ensuring sponsor fulfillment and the delivery of agreed-upon benefits.Collaborate with partners and sponsors to ensure their involvement is effectively integrated into ticketing campaigns and promotions.Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience : Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Sports Management, Business or related field.5 years experience in sports marketing, ticketing or related roles.Proven experience in strategy development, brand marketing and sports ticket sales.Strong background in client and partner management, media buying and partnership activation.Event marketing and operations experience, including execution and coordination of ticket sales and promotions.Proficiency in ticket marketing platforms and understanding of how they integrate with broader marketing strategies.Experience in budget management and ROI tracking for campaigns.Track record of delivering results against KPIs and successfully managing multiple priorities.Highly skilled in creating and executing targeted marketing campaigns with measurable outcomes.Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders.Desired Skills : Familiarity with television and radio operations as part of an integrated marketing strategy is a plus.Familiarity with the sport of volleyball.Personal Attributes : Ability to balance strategy with action in a hands-on role, responsible for ideation, planning, and execution.Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a start-up mentality, capable of handling competing priorities.Proven experience in creating and executing campaigns that meet or exceed goals.Solutions-oriented with the judgment to escalate issues when necessary.Collaborative with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.Positive, proactive, and an organized team player who thinks outside the box.A deep passion for women’s sports and female empowerment.Ability to provide clear strategic direction and make tough decisions when required. Creative thinker with a willingness to challenge traditional sports, media, and professional norms.Highly adaptable with a growth mindset, excited to learn new systems and improve existing processes in a constantly evolving startup environment.Flexible with your schedule, as work hours will be determined based on business needs.Location : Remotely based in one of our Pro cities to facilitate in-person collaboration with the team and local stakeholders. Our Pro cities are located in : Atlanta, Austin, Houston, Madison, Omaha, and Salt Lake City. There is no relocation.The pay range listed reflects the pay range for this position. The annual base salary for this role is $90,000-$100,000 plus our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education and / or skill level among other things.Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees with the same job classification. Individual pay is adjusted as performance is demonstrated and sustained at increasingly competent levels over time.
