The Proposal Writer works within Leap Group's new business and marketing team, supporting all four of our agencies. You have a strong background in proposal writing for advertising and marketing services, in addition to excellent writing, communication, and project management skills to develop compelling proposals that align with our clients' needs and objectives.

๐ Who is the Proposal Writer?
The Proposal Writer works within Leap Group's new business and marketing team, supporting all four of our agencies. You have a strong background in proposal writing for advertising and marketing services, in addition to excellent writing, communication, and project management skills to develop compelling proposals that align with our clients' needs and objectives.
In This Role, You Can Expect To
- Develop, write, and edit high-quality proposals for both commercial and government clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts, to gather necessary information and insights.
- Utilize Loopio to manage and streamline the proposal development process.
- Ensure proposals are compliant with client requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct research to support proposal content and enhance the overall quality of submissions.
- Apply detail orientation, ensuring each proposal is complete, proofed, and perfected.
- Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Ensure all proposals maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging that reflects the agencyโs identity and values.
- Develop content that speaks directly to client pain points and objectives, positioning the agencyโs offerings as the ideal solution.
- Seamlessly incorporate case studies, portfolio pieces, and visual elements into proposals to effectively showcase the agencyโs past work and expertise. Develop graphics and charts, and create content that empowers each proposal.
- Conduct post-submission reviews and debriefings to identify areas of improvement and lessons learned for future proposals.
- Analyze project needs and resource requirements to estimate costs for labor, materials, and other expenses, ensuring budget proposals are realistic and competitive.
- Work with external vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotes and ensure that all external costs are accurately reflected in the proposal budgets.
- Minimum 5 years of experience writing proposals for a marketing, advertising, or creative agency, with a strong grasp of the industryโs dynamics.
- Proficiency in Loopio is highly desired (similar proposal management software experience will be evaluated).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator) is a plus.
- Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex ideas and strategies in a clear, concise manner.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Self-starter, requiring minimal direct oversight.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in proposal writing.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
