- Own HR Operations: Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, maintain employee records (benefits, PTO, compliance documents), and assist the leadership team with recruiting logistics (scheduling interviews, drafting offer letters)
- Support Payroll and Accounting: Collaborate with the CFO to process payroll, track expenses, issue invoices, and maintain budget reports. Reconcile purchase orders, receipts, and payments to ensure accurate financial records
- Maintain Compliance: Manage required documentation for labor laws and other regulatory obligations in close coordination with leadership
- Facilitate Culture and Engagement: Plan small team events and morale boosters, coordinate internal communications, and be a go-to resource for employee questions about benefits and policies
- Collaborate with Leadership: Provide weekly and monthly updates on office spend, HR metrics, and administrative milestones
What You Bring to the Team
- 3 years of experience in office administration, human resources, and/or accounting, preferably in a fast-paced startup or SME environment
- Working knowledge of bookkeeping practices: accounts payable/receivable, invoice management, expense tracking, basic reporting. Comfortable using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
- Familiarity with HR best practices: onboarding, employee record management, basic knowledge of labor laws in Colorado, and an interest in growing that skill set
- Exceptionally organized approach to tasks, capable of juggling multiple priorities (office requests, HR paperwork, accounting deadlines) without losing track
- Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset, able to interface smoothly with leadership, employees, and external vendors
Bonus Points
- Experience implementing or administering an HRIS (Human Resources Information System) or integrated ERP that includes finance modules
- Previous experience in aerospace, tech or manufacturing industries
- Ability to analyze basic financial statements (income statement, balance sheet) to support CFO with deeper insights
- Experience handling recruiting logistics, including job posting, candidate scheduling, and reference checks
