MATERIALS SCHEDULER
COLUMBIA CITY, IN
As a member of the Materials Team, this role directly interfaces with the entire Materials Department. External Suppliers, and all other Departments as needed.
The Role:

MATERIALS SCHEDULER
COLUMBIA CITY, IN
As a member of the Materials Team, this role directly interfaces with the entire Materials Department. External Suppliers, and all other Departments as needed.
The Role:
- Load and analyze customer demand and advise management of possible risks.
- Organize and maintain materials department files on paper and in the system.
- Contact vendors concerning material related issues.
- Complete cycle count process as outlined by the Materials Manager.
- Report monthly measurables.
- Track inbound shipments.
- Provide work instructions to the Materials Specialists and Material Handlers.
- Review inventory levels to assure material availability.
- Pull, verify, and report production requirements.
- Assist with the processing of defective material, returns, scrap, and miscellaneous inventory adjustments and printing related reports.
- Interface with material systems for maintenance.
- CUM reconciliation with the customer and suppliers.
- Maintain listing of current supplier and customer contacts.
- Notify the Materials Manager, Plant Manager, Production Manager, and other appropriate personnel of any materials issues that may negatively impact the line or the customer.
- Follow ISO14001and IATF16949 procedures/processes.
- Associate’s degree (AA/AS); one plus year’s related experience and/or training ; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in various multiple situations.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and talk or hear.
