ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION: Interface with various functional areas to determine manufacturing labor and material cost in preparation for price proposals. Develop and maintain understanding of manufacturing processes and constraints that affect costing and scheduling. Responsible for finite scheduling, cost analysis, bill of materials, operation routing.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Finite scheduling of various manufacturing work centers
  • Sequences orders to meet promise dates and optimize productivity
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the manufacturing routing process for new parts.
  • Gather details and compile data to accurately collect all production costs according to specifications: considering raw materials, labor, equipment, tooling and complexity.
  • Interact with operations team to ensure BOM/Routings are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Enter BOM/Routing information into QAD on a routine basis.
  • Perform ad hoc product cost analysis to support account management decision making.
  • Maintain proficiency in quoting tools.
  • Ensures job orders are being closed out in a timely manner and validates by auditing.
  • Evaluates, recommends, and implements continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills And Abilities Required

  • Sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and a strong operations focus.
  • Ability to interpret and understand complex product specifications and diagrams.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to spend a considerable amount of time in a manufacturing environment.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Engineering preferred.
  • 1 years experience in a manufacturing environment.

Computer Equipment And Software Requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with ERP/MRP
