The Accounting Coordinator role helps support the business by applying knowledge to assist with moderately complex projects and assignments including invoicing, collections and weekly radio affiliate logs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Independently process complex invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders.
  • Coordinate communication with vendors and internal departments to address discrepancies, adjustments and other advanced financial issues.
  • Compile and reconcile detailed bank statements and advanced financial reports.
  • Monitor for delinquent accounts and initiate collection action to resolve unpaid balances.
  • Maintain accurate vendor accounts and record and report on payments.
  • Lead administrative functions, streamlining processes within the accounting team.
  • Maintain accurate, efficient and appropriate rotation for weekly radio spot logs that includes adding, deleting and updating radio spots as well as distributing to radio affiliates weekly.
  • Create, maintain and provide weekly log reporting to ensure correct placement and prevent overselling spots.
  • Ongoing communication with radio affiliates.
  • Process monthly and quarterly vendor payments.

  • Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education (GED or higher).
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly and professionally communicate ideas to audiences of varying levels, including coworkers, supervisors, executives, and vendors.
  • Excellent knowledge of billing procedures and various account collection techniques, laws and regulations.
  • Negotiation and decision-making skills; analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate experience in Excel using V-look ups and Pivot tables.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Outgoing and extroverted personalities are ideal for this role
