LEARN, Southeastern Connecticut's Regional Educational Service Center, invites candidates to apply for an anticipated School Psychologist opening for the 2025-2026 school year at The Friendship School in Waterford, Connecticut.
The School Psychologist will assess students with complex learning, behavior, and communication profiles, consulting with our dynamic team of educators and other related services professionals to plan effective IEPs and corresponding programming for students, and partnering with families, caregivers and outside agencies to ensure young children have access to the supports and services necessary for success. The School Psychologist will provide counseling services related to IEP goals and objectives and participate in building wide initiatives to support positive behavioral approaches and integrate social emotional learning through Tier one instruction. One year of experience in administering and reporting out on the results of psychoeducational assessments, a strong background conducting FBAs and consulting with school-based teams to create and implement effective BIPs, and experience with MTSS social emotional and behavioral strategies and supports required. School Psychologist certification (070) required.
