The Part-time Government Relations Specialist will support our government relations team in analyzing, coordinating, and optimizing processes related to public policy advocacy and regulatory compliance. In this role, they will conduct in-depth research, monitor and track legislative and regulatory developments and assist in managing relationships with diverse stakeholders including government officials, industry groups, and internal teams.

Essential Functions:
- Conduct in-depth research on public policy issues, including proposed bills, regulations, and government initiatives, and assess their potential impact on the organization’s operations and interests.
- Monitor and track legislative and regulatory developments at the federal, state, and local levels, providing timely updates to the team and stakeholders.
- Assist in managing relationships with government officials, agencies, and industry groups. Facilitate communications, coordinate meetings, and ensure timeline follow-up with policymakers and staff.
- Support the team in ensuring compliance with all relevant government regulations, policies, and reporting requirements. Help manage the company’s internal compliance efforts.
- Provide support to the government relations team, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, drafting memos and presentations, and supporting cross-functional communication.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, public relations, education or related field required.
- 2-3 years of experience working in government relations, public policy, or a related field with a focus on state-level advocacy and legislative processes.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with data analysis tools or government relations software.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation based on position, education and experience. Bi-weekly paid.
- Base salary range: $31.17 - 35/hr
