Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Summer Camp Teachers to join our team for an exciting experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for children. You will engage with campers through various activities, fostering their growth and development while ensuring their well-being. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and have experience in education or childcare settings. This job will also continue throughout the school year as an After-School Teacher from 2-6pm Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
- Educate campers through structured programs that promote learning and personal development.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive camp environment.
- Assist in planning and leading recreational activities such as arts and crafts, sports, and outdoor adventures.
- Provide support to campers with special needs, utilizing skills in special education when necessary.
- Foster teamwork and cooperation among campers through group activities.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to address any concerns or needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of camp facilities and equipment.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in settings such as camps, schools, or childcare environments is preferred.
- Strong skills in behavior management and classroom management techniques.
- Background in special education or related fields is a plus.
- Previous tutoring or babysitting experience is beneficial.
- Ability to create engaging educational experiences tailored to the interests of campers.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- A genuine passion for educating and nurturing children in a camp setting.

Pay: $13.73 - $14.67 per hour
