What are the responsibilities and job description for the HS Math Teacher position at Learning Prep School?
Learning Prep School in Newton, MA is seeking a High School Math Teacher to join our faculty as soon as possible.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team of highly qualified special education professionals! Our high school math department teaches topics including geometry, functional math skills, and algebra. Learning Prep faculty use a wide array of language-based practices and universal learning supports to help our students access curriculum and become engaged and ready learners. The ideal candidate for this position will have an educator's license in Mathematics 8-12 or Moderate Disabilities 5-12. We are also open to considering candidates with relevant experience who are still on their path to licensure.
Our students have complex learning needs and we are committed to providing them with the education they deserve! LPS is a school for kids with complex profiles whose primary area of need is a language-based learning disability. While we are not a therapeutic setting or a program for students with significant behavioral support needs, we do offer speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, and counseling as part of our service delivery model.
