Currently Reports To: Logistics Supervisor
Shift: Monday – Friday 7 am – 3:30 pm (additional day(s) and overtime expected to support business needs)

Position Summary
Responsible for packaging products and accessories into sellable goods according to customer demands. Prepares work to be accomplished by studying applicable documentation, work instructions, and/or visual demonstration.
Essential Functions
- Perform various steps to complete packaging process which includes, but is not limited to: folding, placing, peeling, sliding, laying, labeling, and otherwise manipulating material into desired sellable good according to specifications.
- Move and organize materials, including totes of tools, from storage vehicle to work area in safe and orderly manner to maximize efficiency while performing packaging work.
- Visually and manually inspect components (according to guidelines), ensuring all components meet quality standards and match work order requirements (including required quantities) before beginning work order.
- Effectively communicate issues with component quality, bills of material, inventory discrepancies, machine operation, safety concerns, etc. to responsible parties which could include packaging support roles or leads. Communication tools may include walkie talkies, photocopier, or other device in addition to verbal.
- Safely load and operate sealing machines when required.
- Timely and accurately record hours worked and work started and completed times.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of small teams.
Additional Functions:
- Correct any conditions which are not conducive to a safe, clean workplace. Report any safety problems immediately.
- Maintain clean and orderly work area including cleaning workstations, machines, and surrounding area using 5S principles.
- Must be able to operate material handling equipment including: pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other similar equipment.

Experience and Education Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Some experience in manufacturing environment or completion of a manufacturing foundations class preferred.
- Basic Math/Arithmetic Skills required. A calculator is provided to assist in calculations.
- Basic computer skills preferred. Willingness to learn and become proficient required.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write English at a level to effectively utilize and interpret SDS’s and work instructions or the ability to understand this information when translated.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continually required to stand; walk; balance; use hands to finger, handle, grasp, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, some overhead. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.; sit; climb stairs; twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where it is required.
