We are seeking a Billet Grader to join our team. As Billet Grader, you will visually assess wood billets to categorize them based on quality.
Responsibilities
· Visually inspect each piece for defects and imperfections
· Determine the appropriate grade for each piece
· Mark each piece according to assigned grade
· Sort each piece according to assigned grade
· Maintain accurate records by species and grade
· Other tasks as needed
Qualifications
· Ability to lift and maneuver heavy wood billets
· Ability to stand for long periods of time
· Ability to work well in a team environment
· Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
· Fork lift experience
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Knowledge of wood species
· Previous experience in a similar role
· Reliable with reliable transportation
· Self-motivated individual looking for long term/career employment
