Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations on drink selections
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Monitor customer behavior and ensure responsible alcohol consumption
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders for banquet events
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of bar supplies
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a bartender or in the hospitality industry required
- Knowledge of brewing techniques and familiarity with different types of alcoholic beverages
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating bills
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle difficult situations calmly
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
- Familiarity with cash register operation and handling cash transactions
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (such as kegs)
- Knowledge of food service safety regulations and practices
