About the Role:
As an Additive Manufacturing 3D Printer Technician at our LeClaire Mfg. Tech Center, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our 3D printing equipment. You will work closely with our engineering team to produce high-quality parts and prototypes for our clients. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will be crucial in maintaining the accuracy and precision of our 3D printing processes. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving any issues that may arise during the printing process.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience operating and maintaining 3D printing equipment
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- Experience with a variety of 3D printing technologies
- Familiarity with CAD software
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity navigating HDMI, interface menus and ribbons.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and solve root issues.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain 3D printing equipment to produce high-quality parts and prototypes
- Collaborate with engineering team to ensure accuracy and precision of printed parts
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the printing process
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
- Effective manage time and prioritize workflow
- Maintain correct levels of all consumables and media for printers on a daily basis.
- Prepare digital files for printing, including an optimal print bed and slicing.
- Perform routine maintenance and toubleshooting, to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor the printing process, adjust as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Post-process printed parts.
- Desanding, depowdering, removing added structural supports, cleaning and packaging.
- Use of measuring devices for recording technical data, weights, density, dimensions, etc.
- Maintain an organized workspace and manage inventory of printing materials and supplies.
- Document and report on printing activities, including print reports and quality control/testing.
