LPN – Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit

Millcreek Community Hospital, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is currently hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. FT 36 hours, 7am-730pm.

REQUIRED:

• Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with hospital standards.
• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
• Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations, interdepartmental objectives, and infection control policies.
• Cleans and prepares rooms between procedures and after terminal cleaning. Monitors and restocks supplies.
• Monitors medical condition of patients and reports changes to appropriate personnel. Demonstrates sensitivity to patient’s comfort and privacy and expresses interest in their progress.
• Monitors emotional stability of patients and reports changes to physician or charge nurse.
• Assists physicians with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care.
• Performs basic nursing procedures including thermal applications, non-sterile soaks, and application of simple dressings, perennial care, and urine tests.
• Prepares, hangs, monitors and discontinues I.V. fluids.
