LeCroy & Milligan Associates, Inc. is recruiting for a Senior Evaluation Associate. As a member of a multi-disciplinary team of evaluators, the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting multiple local, statewide or national program evaluation projects. This position will be heavily focused on analysis of primary and secondary quantitative data and use of large datasets/databases. The ideal applicant will bring strong client consultation/customer service skills and enjoy helping organizations understand how to use data effectively. Our team has diverse expertise in a range of applied research areas, such as criminal justice, child welfare, public health, and education. We consider applicants who have worked directly in service provision, in program/government administration, and/or who have worked in research/university settings if interested in applied work with nonprofit and government organizations. We look for candidates who prefer a fast-paced work environment with multiple (Interesting and potentially very different!) projects underway at a time.

Position Responsibilities May Include:

·            Supporting evaluation and data collection planning to ensure that analyses and research questions of interest have been appropriately considered.

·            Analyzing and interpreting quantitative data with varying degrees of complexity.

·            Effectively participating in project teams and sharing learning amongst colleagues.

·            Providing technical assistance to client organizations around the utilization of data for decision-making.

·            Providing oversight for several large dataset/databases.

·            Working with community leaders, government officials and other agencies and organizations to facilitate organizational and system learning and improvement.

·            Participating in generating new business through client development and supporting occasional grant proposal components.

·            Coordinating teams of staff members on projects or quality improvement initiatives.


Qualifications of Interest:

·            Master’s or Ph.D. degree in social sciences, public health, criminology, education, applied social research or related field, and experience in an applied setting preferred.

·            Demonstrated experience in analysis of quantitative data.

·            Experience managing/working in large data systems such as ETO.

·            Proficiency in use of SPSS and/or Tableau preferred, including training others on use of these tools.

·            Knowledge of data collection techniques and measurement tools; including web-based applications.

·            Excellent written and oral communication skills.

·            Strong organization abilities, including ability to manage numerous tasks and projects simultaneously.

·            Ability to quickly learn new information and operate within some ambiguity.

·            Consultation and customer service skills to support internal staff and clients in use of data for decision-making.


Salary DOE, excellent benefit package includes health, dental, retirement, and paid time off.
