Academic Services Manager
Our client is seeking an Academic Services Manager for their team! This full-time, direct-hire role is perfect for an outstanding administrative support supervisor who loves building and leading high-performing teams.
Responsibilities of the Academic Services Manager
- Hire, train, coach, and supervise a team of approximately 12 academic coordinators; determine their key accountabilities and nurture their learning and skill development
- Conceptualize, define, and apply operating guidelines and service delivery standards for academic coordinators and class scribes
- Assign academic coordinators according to faculty support resource needs
- Support scribe team hiring and staffing logistics
- Review, approve, and oversee team projects and events
- Coordinate classroom support and teaching activities
- Work collaboratively to achieve academic support priorities
Qualifications of the Academic Services Manager
- 3-5 years of experience supervising administrative support or customer service professionals at an academic institution or professional services firm, or comparable organization
- Knowledge of business operations and communications gained through a bachelor’s degree in management or a related field of study, or a combination of a liberal arts education and relevant work experience
- Experience and skill successfully managing and optimizing complex administrative processes and workflows
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to anticipate, deliver on, and exceed the expectations of faculty, professional staff colleagues, and supervisees
- Able to handle sensitive material and information with discretion
- Able to work well both collaboratively and independently and demonstrate a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness
