EHS Specialist-Waste Water
Our client is seeking an EHS Specialist to join the team at their state-of-the-art beverage manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate for this full-time, direct-hire role has proven experience managing wastewater treatment systems in the beverage industry and a desire to use their expertise at a company that emphasizes product quality, innovation, and sustainability.
Responsibilities of the EHS Specialist
- Oversee and manage wastewater treatment processes
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and implement best practices to minimize environmental impact
- Conduct thorough risk assessments across all factory operations
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive EHS policies and procedures
- Design and deliver EHS training programs for employees, focusing on wastewater management, environmental compliance, and general safety practices
- Investigate any accidents, incidents, or near-misses that occur in the facility; determine root causes, implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence, and maintain detailed records
- Conduct regular audits and inspections
- Maintain all necessary permits and licenses
- Foster positive relationships with local regulatory agencies, government authorities, and other stakeholders
- Develop and manage the EHS budget
- Actively participate in and lead EHS improvement projects to enhance overall performance, reduce risks, and promote a culture of safety excellence
