What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting & Billing Specialist position at Ledgent Finance & Accounting?
Ledgent is partnering with a growing client in the insurance industry to find an Accounting & Billing Specialist to add to their team. This role is a permanent position, paying between $60,000-65,000/annually while offering wonderful benefits! The office is located in Southington, CT with a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Preparing premium & reinsurance calculations
- Preparing investment & AR roll forwards
- Financial statements & regulatory filings
- Bank reconciliations
- Customer billing - processing online via ACH & credit card payments
- Review & resolve escheat balances
- Partner with underwriting & claims department to resolve issues
- Additional projects assigned by CFO as needed
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in BOTH accounting & billing
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance is considered a plus!
- Insurance industry experience is required (P&C, health, life)
