Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in Florida. This role is integral to maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of the accounts payable function, ensuring that all financial obligations are met in a timely and compliant manner.
Responsibilities
- Invoice Processing & Verification - Review, validate, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely while ensuring compliance with company policies and resolving discrepancies.
- Payment Processing - Prepare and execute payment runs, including ACH, wire transfers, and checks, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
- Reconciliation & Reporting - Reconcile AP accounts, research discrepancies, and assist in month-end closing by preparing reports and supporting documentation.
- Vendor Management - Maintain vendor records, respond to inquiries, and resolve payment issues to foster strong supplier relationships.
- Compliance & Documentation - Ensure proper documentation, adherence to internal controls, and compliance with tax regulations, including W-9 and 1099 reporting.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an accounts payable role is preferred.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Required Work Hours
Monday to Friday, first shift.
