Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join their team in Connecticut. Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of 7 accounts payable professionals.
- Foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and accountability.
- Invoice and Payment Processing:
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices.
- Ensure prompt payment execution while maintaining positive vendor relationships.
- Monitor outstanding invoices and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Compliance and Controls:
- Enforce internal controls, company policies, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and support internal and external audits with accurate documentation.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and finance, to streamline workflows.
- Reporting and Reconciliation:
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for the accounts payable function.
- Ensure accurate reconciliations and reporting, providing insights and recommendations as needed.
- Vendor Management:
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with vendors.
- Address and resolve vendor queries and issues promptly.
Work Hours:
Monday - Friday, during standard business hours.

Additional Details:
This is a supervisory position with a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 annually.
