Position: AP Specialist
Duration: Temp to hire
Pay: $34-36/hr
Responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy.
- Enter invoices into accounting systems and match with purchase orders.
- Prepare and process payments (checks, wire transfers, ACH).
- Maintain vendor records and respond to payment inquiries.
- Reconcile accounts payable ledgers and resolve discrepancies.
- Generate AP reports, including aging reports, for management.
- Support month-end and year-end closing for AP.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and tax regulations (W-9s, 1099s).
- Assist with audits by providing required documentation.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, and other teams to resolve issues.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- Experience: 3 years in accounts payable or finance roles.
- Skills:
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Software: Timberline (Sage 300) OR Yardi
