Company Overview:
A small, employee-focused company with approximately 70 employees is seeking a Payroll & Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys handling both payroll processing and A/R responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing -
- Process bi-weekly payroll for under 100 employees using ADP.
- Ensure payroll data is accurate and processed on time, including hours, deductions, bonuses, and commissions.
- Maintain employee payroll records while ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Address payroll-related inquiries, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare and manage year-end payroll reports, W-2s, and tax filings.
- Coordinate with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate records and benefits deductions.
- Stay current on federal, state, and local payroll tax laws.
- Assist with audits and ad hoc payroll-related requests.
Accounts Receivable & Credit Management -
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through superior communication and customer service.
- Proactively resolve past-due accounts in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
- Monitor accounts receivable integrity and provide regular updates to the Senior Credit Manager and internal stakeholders.
- Analyze A/R reports, identify trends, and make credit decisions at both the account and order level.
- Handle customer inquiries, process account adjustments, and ensure accurate payments.
- Research and resolve billing and collections inquiries efficiently.
- Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 2 years of payroll processing experience (ADP preferred).
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax laws, and benefits administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software.
- Experience in business-to-business accounts receivable is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with credit/risk management is a plus.
- SAP experience is a bonus.
