Job Title: System Administrator & Support
Location: Englewood, CO (considering local applicants)
Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Schedule: Hybrid (4 days onsite)
Salary: $85k - $110k
About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and proactive System Administrator to oversee the maintenance, security, and optimization of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our systems while providing essential support for end-users.
Responsibilities:
System Administration:
- Install, operate, configure, and optimize Microsoft OS-based servers and client systems.
- Maintain and manage hardware/software components, ensuring optimal performance.
- Implement and manage data backup, security patches, and software updates.
- Monitor system performance, identifying and resolving potential issues proactively.
- Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and analyze deviations.
- Maintain documentation for processes, procedures, and system architecture.
- Conduct routine and emergency maintenance in alignment with the maintenance calendar.
- Lead disaster recovery planning and implementation for critical applications/services.
- Work with vendors and external consultants to resolve complex IT challenges.
- Collaborate with the IT team to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to proper ticket management and escalation procedures.
System Support:
- Provide first-level technical support for end-users both on-site and remotely.
- Manage incident resolution, escalating tickets when necessary.
- Classify and document issues, creating work orders for unresolved cases.
- Train and mentor help desk personnel on troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Monitor issue trends and implement preventive solutions.
- Maintain warehouse inventory for IT equipment and software.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft-based IT infrastructure (x86 architecture).
- Experience with VDI servers
- Experience with system administration tools and ticketing systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex software/hardware issues.
- Knowledge of security protocols, backup management, and disaster recovery.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience working with vendors and external consultants.
- Decision-making capability during critical service interruptions.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Security ) are a plus.
- Experience in IT infrastructure design and budgeting is a bonus.
