Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Accounting Specialist to join our team in Conyers, GA. This position plays a crucial role in supporting busy season operations and maintaining accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Data Entry: Record and verify financial transactions in the general ledger using QuickBooks.
- Trial Balance Preparation: Prepare the trial balance and assist in ensuring the accuracy of all accounting records.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process and manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
- Customer Service: Provide high levels of customer service and effectively interact with clients to address financial inquiries or concerns.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or in a similar accounting role is required.
- QuickBooks: Proficient in QuickBooks for general ledger accounting and financial reconciliations. QuickBooks Certification is preferred.
- Excel: Basic Excel skills are required. (Note: this role does not require advanced functions like pivot tables or VLOOKUPs, but you will work within existing spreadsheets.)
- Knowledge of Accounting Principles: Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Professionalism: High level of professionalism is essential, as this role involves interacting with clients and representing the brand.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience with administrative duties supporting budget analysis and financial reporting.
- Former experience in a CPA firm is a plus.
- QuickBooks Certification is a significant advantage.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact with clients effectively.
Requirements:
- Background Check: All candidates must pass a 7-year background check before starting.
