Bookkeeper with QuickBooks Online Experience

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (North Scottsdale, in-office)
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with proven expertise in using QuickBooks Online to manage our company's financial records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports. The Bookkeeper will work closely with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting regulations and help improve the financial operations of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Transaction Recording:
- Record and categorize all financial transactions (sales, expenses, purchases, etc.) in QuickBooks Online.
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of accounts payable and receivable.
- Process and monitor credit card and bank transactions.
Bank and Credit Card Reconciliation:
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in transactions.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Manage accounts payable: review, process, and schedule payments.
- Manage accounts receivable: issue invoices, follow up on overdue accounts, and track incoming payments.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports).
- Provide regular updates to management regarding financial performance.
QuickBooks Online Maintenance:
- Ensure QuickBooks Online is updated and optimized for business needs.
- Customize QuickBooks Online settings to reflect the business's financial workflows and requirements.
- Troubleshoot any issues or errors within QuickBooks Online, collaborating with technical support if needed.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
Other Duties:
- Stay up-to-date on accounting trends, tax regulations, and software updates for QuickBooks Online.
- Miscellaneous special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with full-cycle accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
