B2B Collections Specialist
Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced B2B Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in business-to-business collections, with a strong track record of managing accounts, resolving payment issues, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of business accounts, working closely with clients to resolve overdue payments, and ensuring the company's cash flow remains consistent and accurate.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee a portfolio of business accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
Initiate and maintain communication with clients regarding overdue payments via phone, email, and written correspondence.
Negotiate payment terms and settlement arrangements with clients to ensure timely resolution of outstanding balances.
Document all collection efforts and interactions with clients in the company's system.
Work closely with the accounting team to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Analyze aging reports and follow up on delinquent accounts.
Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism during all communications.
Assist with credit risk assessments and support the review of customer credit applications.
Collaborate with internal teams to address any issues affecting payment collection.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in B2B collections or a similar role.
Strong understanding of business credit and collections processes.
Proven experience in managing and collecting outstanding business accounts.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive financial data.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and accounting software.
Ability to work independently and meet collection goals.
