We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a dynamic accounting team. This role will primarily focus on managing and supporting various accounting functions with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of handling a range of accounting responsibilities, from preparing financial reports to ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Financial Reporting & Reconciliation: Analyze and reconcile financial data, including general ledger, financial statements, and investment accounts.
- Accounting System Management: Maintain and update accounting systems and procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across various platforms.
- Audit & Compliance: Assist with audits, implement new accounting standards, and support the preparation of financial statements in line with regulations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Analyze and assist in budget management, advising leadership on financial matters.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to resolve complex financial issues and ensure smooth operation of accounting processes.
- Special Projects: Participate in initiatives to improve systems and processes, contributing to overall organizational success.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of financial data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Experience working with accounting software and systems, preferably Sage Intacct.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of budgeting and financial statements.
- Knowledge of governmental or educational accounting standards (preferred but not required).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Software Skills: Basic Excel skills required, experience with Sage Intacct preferred.
- Communication Skills: Ability to clearly articulate financial data and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
