Our client is seeking a dedicated, self-motivated Senior Accountant to join their growing company permanently. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining general ledgers, journal entries, and be part of an ERP implementation for their US subsidiary, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the accounting and the accounting operations for the US subsidiary, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead and assist with the implementation and optimization of the NetSuite ERP system.
- Maintain all general ledgers and journal entries.
- Assist in the configuration of NetSuite to handle financial transactions related to insurance claims and reimbursements.
- Handle state and local taxes and ensure proper transfer pricing between the US subsidiary and Canadian headquarters.
- Assist with financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Assist with conducting financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support business decisions.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.
- Collaborate with the Canadian finance team to ensure alignment and consistency in financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with a focus on the US healthcare industry.
- Proven experience with NetSuite ERP system.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP required.
- Familiarity with Canadian accounting standards is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- HR experience including but not limited to Payroll experience is a plus.
