Senior Accountant

Position: Senior Accountant

Duration: Contract -START RIGHT AWAY

Pay: $35-$44/hr

General Accounting & Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP/IFRS.

• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and intercompany transactions.

• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
  
  

Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR):

• Oversee AP and AR processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.

• Analyze aging reports and assist with cash flow management.
  
  

Compliance & Auditing:

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, company policies, and financial laws.

• Support external and internal audits by preparing necessary documentation.

• Maintain proper documentation for SOX compliance (if applicable).
  
  

Process Improvement & Leadership:

• Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, automation, and workflows.

• Mentor junior accounting staff and assist with training.

• Collaborate with finance, operations, and leadership teams on financial strategy.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).

• Experience: 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate, public accounting, or industry-specific setting.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial regulations.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.).

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
