What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Ledgent?

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including GL, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for management
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Assist with audits, both internal and external
- Support the preparation of tax filings and reports
- Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask
