What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utilities Superintendent position at Lee Construction, Inc.?
We are seeking an experienced Utilities Superintendent to oversee and manage the installation of various site utilities for multiple infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in managing complex utilities installations and have hands-on experience with a variety of heavy equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate the installation of water and sanitary sewer mains, sanitary sewer manholes, sanitary sewer lift stations, storm sewer lines, and associated storm sewer structures (manholes, curb inlets, etc.).
- Ensure safety standards and project timelines are met, while maintaining a high level of quality control throughout the project.
- Lead a skilled team, manage resources, and collaborate with project managers and engineers.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors as needed for specific tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in overseeing site utility installations (water, sanitary, storm sewer, etc.).
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as backhoes, excavators, and frontend loaders.
- A strong understanding of utility installation techniques, as well as trenching and excavation procedures.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team, and effectively communicate project needs and deadlines.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and construction standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with total station surveying equipment and basic surveying techniques.
- Prior experience with RO Plant installation and maintenance
- Prior experience with HDPE line fusing.
