What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply and Inventory Administrator position at Lee County Government?
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Warehouse Operations Coordinator to manage and streamline the daily operations of our warehouse. This role will involve overseeing inventory, coordinating purchases, managing document systems, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining efficient warehouse functions and supporting both internal teams and vendors for seamless service.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels by running daily reports, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely billing and payment with vendors.
- Order Coordination: Work with site personnel to generate material requests for open purchase orders and track the status of orders.
- Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance: Schedule and approve maintenance and repairs for vehicles and equipment used in the department.
- Vendor Relations: Order parts and supplies, negotiate with vendors for the best prices, and process receipts to ensure vendors are paid on time.
- Warehouse Operations: Ensure warehouse policies and procedures are followed, and collaborate with staff to complete daily tasks on time while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Purchasing & Requisitions: Create and manage blanket purchase orders for fuel, parts, supplies, and equipment. Track and expedite outstanding orders from vendors.
- Administrative Support: Assist with explaining County policies, maintain employee files, and support electronic filing and records management systems.
- Supervisory Duties (if applicable): Depending on the assignment, you may be responsible for supervising staff.
- Other Duties: Perform related tasks as assigned.
- Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by specialized courses/training equivalent to completion of one year of college in business or closely related field and two years warehouse or inventory management or closely related experience.
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Certifications: Forklift certification is required (or must be obtained upon hire).
