Job Description
The SEC Reporting Manager will be responsible for managing the company's SEC reporting process, overseeing internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), and serving as a key liaison with external auditors. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
In addition to core SEC reporting duties, this role will involve oversight of specialized accounting areas, including pension accounting and stock-based compensation. The manager will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of these complex financial areas.
Key Responsibilities
1. Draft and file all required SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and proxy statements
2. Coordinate the review of SEC filings with external auditors, legal counsel, accounting staff, and executive management
3. Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) in accordance with SOX requirements
4. Manage the preparation and maintenance of supporting documentation for all areas of the external reporting process
5. Oversight of pension accounting and administration
6. Oversight of accounting and software administration of stock-based compensation
7. Lead the implementation of new accounting pronouncements and maintain relevant accounting policies
8. Assist in technical accounting research and documentation of complex accounting issues
9. Oversee the XBRL tagging process for all SEC filings
10. Review earnings releases, earnings scripts, and investor presentations
11. Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors during financial statement audits and quarterly reviews
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred
2. Minimum of 5 years of financial reporting experience in a publicly traded company
3. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX compliance
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
5. Superior written and verbal communication abilities
6. Proficiency in financial reporting software and Microsoft Office Suite

Pay: $125,000 - $140,000 with bonus opportunity
