Position Overview
This position will work closely with project managers to help manage finances & subcontracts on construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the payment, management, and reconciliation of AP vendor accounts
- Ensure subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders are recorded in the accounting system
- Collect appropriate W9 certificates, insurance certificates and endorsements, bonds, and joint check documents when necessary
- Enter AR billings and change orders submitted to project owners and assist project managers in monitoring for timely payment
- Review sales tax on incoming subcontracts, purchase orders, and invoices and adjust as needed based on the tax status of the project
- Analyze incoming claims from suppliers and subcontractors and collect necessary waivers
- Audit monthly job reports to make sure projects are closed out timely and/or recognize problems to be addressed with the project manager or accounting manager

- Ability to prioritize and problem-solve while applying company policies and procedures
- Effective organizational skills
Requirements
- Accounting or construction experience preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Products, Sage Software and/or ProCore Software preferred
