Lee Recruitment Strategies is seeking Engineering Consultants to provide professional services in healthcare delivery systems for the Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). This contract position focuses on ensuring the appropriate infrastructure, facilities, and equipment are available to support the medical mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering and/or architectural expertise in healthcare delivery systems.
- Evaluate and optimize facility infrastructure, equipment, and operational processes to align with healthcare needs.
- Support planning and implementation of engineering projects within CMOP VHA locations.
- Ensure compliance with federal engineering standards and VHA guidelines.
- Conduct technical assessments, feasibility studies, and process improvement initiatives to enhance medical facilities' efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including healthcare professionals, facility managers, and regulatory bodies to achieve project goals.
- Utilize industry best practices and engineering methodologies to address safety, efficiency, and functionality in medical environments.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or a curriculum including differential and integral calculus plus coursework in at least five of the following engineering science or physics areas:
- Statics, Dynamics
- Strength of Materials (Stress-Strain Relationships)
- Fluid Mechanics, Hydraulics
- Thermodynamics
- Electrical Fields and Circuits
- Nature and Properties of Materials
- Other Comparable Areas (Optics, Heat Transfer, Soil Mechanics, Electronics, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of healthcare infrastructure, facility planning, and engineering project execution.
- Ability to analyze, design, and improve healthcare delivery systems from an engineering perspective.
- Experience working with federal agencies or healthcare-related engineering projects is preferred.
- Proficiency in engineering software and technical tools related to facility planning and assessment.
