Position Summary:
As a Service Deli Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the deli department, ensuring exceptional customer service, high-quality food preparation, and smooth workflow. Primary Position Duties:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise deli staff, ensuring they provide excellent customer service and maintain high standards in food preparation and presentation.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and ensure that stock is rotated and properly stored to minimize waste and maximize freshness.
- Oversee food preparation to ensure it meets the company’s standards for taste, presentation, and food safety.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure customers are satisfied with their deli experience, maintaining a high level of service at all times.
- Ensure all deli operations adhere to local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, including food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness.
- Monitor department performance, manage costs, and work within budget to maximize profitability while ensuring high-quality products.
- Drive sales through product promotions, special offers, and by recommending popular or seasonal items to customers, increasing overall deli department revenue
- Greet and assist guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Provide knowledgeable answers to guest inquiries.
- Promote a high level of morale within department and store, utilizing friendly but professional methods of honest and open communication with guests and team members.
- Provides excellent guest service by acknowledging guests promptly and taking their orders accurately. Prepares and processes the guest’s orders promptly and finalizes their purchase in a friendly manner.
- Remain open to feedback from guests, leadership, and team members to consistently deliver an exceptional shopping and working experience for all guests and team members.
- Displays excellent problems solving skills and prides themselves on finding the best resolution that exemplifies the “Lee’s Way- doing what’s best for our team, our guests, and our company”.
- Stock shelves and maintain displays according to store standards.
- Ensure product freshness by rotating stock and checking expiration dates.
- Assist in unloading deliveries and organizing stock rooms as needed.
- Package and label products using a computer program.
- Assists the department to maintain proper freshness, pricing, code dating, tare and merchandising of products in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area. Preserve the department quality and cleanliness by adhering to a regular cleaning schedule and ensuring equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to management.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Contributes towards and maintains the cleaning responsibilities in the department as management sees fit.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately.
- Follow store policies on returns, exchanges, and refunds.
- Ensure the security of cash and other financial transactions.
- Work cooperatively with team members to achieve store goals.
- Participate in quarterly team meetings and training sessions.
- Assist other departments as needed.

Position Requirements:
- Experience: Previous deli or restaurant experience and leadership skills required.
- Minimum Age: 18 Years of age.
- 6:00AM-9:30PM Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
