The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor leads and directs the work of others by setting high performance standards and delivering quality services in an effective and timely manner. What You Will Do In This Role
- You will work with the manager to establish department goals and objectives and assume responsibility for implementation and monitoring.
- You will proactively prioritize needs and effectively manage resources.
- You will identify and respond to department and multidisciplinary quality improvement opportunities.
- You will participate in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities.
- You will assist with hiring, training and providing orientation to new employees.
- You will create and sustain an environment that engages employees.
- You will make department rounds to identify issues, observe and coach staff and offer input and decision making regarding work practices.
- You will ensure that all department activities are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- You will provide staff development and evaluate their level of performance.
- You will manage scheduling and payroll procedures.
- Must be a graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Must be registered with the National Board for Respiratory Care as an Advanced Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Must be licensed by the State of Missouri
- Have current BCLS affirmation.
- Must maintain clinical competencies required by the Department, appropriate to the level of service provided.
- Three (3) years of relevant clinical experience.
