Job Summary :
Responsible for assisting and supporting laboratory technicians in prescription compounding and fulfillment activities
Job Activities and Responsibilities : The responsibilities listed below are subject to change.
The lab assistant is an active participant in daily operations, supporting sterile and non-sterile laboratories.
- Have knowledge of and adhere to all Standard of Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Perform daily cleaning of laboratory, laboratory equipment and supplies
- Prepare and stock laboratory supplies and devices daily
- Manage compounding and pharmaceutical supply inventory
- Support quality assurance documentation of environmental monitoring and ancillary duties
- Perform compounding duties as required
- Assist in product packaging and prescription fulfillment as required
- Perform shipping and receiving duties as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Minimum qualifications :
High School Diploma preferred. Must be a Licensed Pharmacy Technician. Must be able to navigate computer operating systems.
Physical requirements :
Ability to use a computer keyboard, fax machine, printer, communicate by telephone, and lift up to fifty pounds on a regular basis.
