What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Parts Counter Sales position at Lee-Smith, Inc?
Lee-Smith, Inc, a locally owned International, Ford, and Isuzu commercial truck dealership is seeking an experienced counter salesperson to sell multiple make and model parts to customers over the counter, through the shop, and on the phone.
Essential Duties Include:
- Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensure that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
- Provide high level of service to internal and external customers.
- Promptly answer the telephone.
- Follow up on back-ordered parts.
- Solicit assigned accounts by phone.
- Participate in all training programs that are made available.
- Listen to and resolve customers' complaints regarding products or service.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Ability to work until midnight during the week and occasional Saturday 1st Shift.
Requirements
- Bi-lingual - Spanish a plus
- Dependable and reliable
- Ability to multi-task as well as problem solve quickly and effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient computer skills required
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit and stand several hours per day.
- Occasional heavy lifting and carrying required.
- Ability to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
