Job Title: HR Generalist
General Description:
To assist in running the daily functions of the HR department including recruitment and onboarding, administering pay, benefits and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
HR Generalist Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Collaborate with department managers to understand the skills and competencies required for openings.
- Facilitate the hiring of job applicants by managing job postings, conducting resume screens and scheduling interviews.
- Coordinate pre-employment medical exams and background checks.
- Support new hire onboarding, including paperwork and system setup.
Employee Records & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records. Update and maintain HRIS (Human Resources Information System) records.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
Payroll & Benefits
- Performs routine tasks to administer benefits and leave programs.
- Serve as a backup for processing company payroll.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Assist in resolving minor workplace conflicts and escalating issues to management as needed.
- Support engagement initiatives such as recognition programs, surveys, and events.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent years of experience) and a minimum of 3 years HR related experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications. Experience with Paycom is a plus.

Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per year
