We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Hydraulic Hose Assembler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling hydraulic hose assemblies, utilizing various machines and tools to ensure precision and quality in every assembly. This position requires mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble hydraulic hose assemblies using hydraulic hoses and fittings.
- Operate machines such as saws, Ultra Clean Machines, pushers, and crimping machines to complete assemblies.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure accurate assembly.
- Utilize calipers to measure and ensure precise dimensions of hose assemblies.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation (5S), performing daily cleaning tasks at the end of each shift.
- Lift and/or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- You may be required to stand, bend, stoop, squat, reach and pull as necessary during the assembly process.
- Learn and memorize part numbers of hose ends and distinguish between various size fittings.
- Perform tube assembly tasks, including using saws, benders, and deburring tools to prepare tubing.
- Crimp nuts and sleeves on tubing to ensure secure fittings.
- Read a tape measure.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma, or GED (General Education Degree)
- 1 - 2 years' experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time on a concrete floor
- Capability to bend, stoop, squat, reach with arms/hands, and pull with arms/hands
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
