Duties
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Implement individualized daily living activities tailored to each individual's needs and preferences.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals, fostering a positive environment.
- Monitor and document as needed
- Conduct observation to ensure safety and well-being, reporting any concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring individuals can participate in community activities.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- HSD or GED preferred
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Current auto insurance and transportation
- Certification in CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain certification upon hire
- Ability to perform daily living tasks, including hygiene assistance if needed
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with individuals
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
- Must be able to work flexible hours as needed, including evenings or weekends if required. Some benefits may require a waiting period.
