Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Attorney with a strong background in personal injury and litigation to join our dynamic legal team. This role involves handling all phases of personal injury cases, including pre-litigation, litigation, trial preparation, and resolution. Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from intake through resolution, including pre-litigation, mediation, and trial.
- Conduct detailed case evaluations, develop legal strategies, and advise clients on their rights and options.
- Litigation:
- Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery.
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
- Draft and argue motions, including those for summary judgment, dismissal, and discovery disputes.
- Client Relations:
- Maintain consistent communication with clients to provide updates, answer questions, and guide them through the legal process.
- Build strong client relationships through compassionate and professional representation.
- Negotiation & Settlement:
- Negotiate with insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, and other parties to secure favorable settlements for clients.
- Prepare demand packages and settlement agreements in alignment with client goals.
- Collaboration & Supervision:
- Work closely with paralegals, legal assistants, and other support staff to ensure case progression.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys and legal team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active and in good standing with the Florida Bar Association.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in personal injury litigation, including trial experience.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal personal injury laws and court procedures.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
Salary : $180,000 - $210,000
