We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Interviewer to join our team. Duties
- Conduct thorough interviews with children and families to gather relevant information regarding their circumstances.
- Utilize effective crisis intervention techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of interview subjects.
- Assess the needs of families and children through active listening and empathetic communication.
- Document interview findings accurately and comprehensively to support case management processes.
- Collaborate with social workers, childcare professionals, and other stakeholders to develop appropriate action plans based on interview outcomes.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards while handling sensitive information.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to child protective services and family law.
Experience
- Proven experience or knowledge in child protective services, crisis management, or family law is highly desirable.
- Background in social work, behavioral health, or related fields is preferred.
- Experience working with children and families in various capacities is an asset.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
- Familiarity with childcare practices and child welfare policies is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on active listening.
- Child First Forensic Interview Certification
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
