What are the responsibilities and job description for the Investment Services Intern position at Legacy Advisors?
Position Summary: The Investment Services Intern will support the day-to-day operations of the Investment Operations team and Investment Advisory team. This will include aiding research, analysis, and portfolio management tasks as well as daily operations such as money movement, reporting and other tasks as assigned. This role offers hands-on experience in financial markets, investment products, and client services, with opportunities to gain insight into asset management, trading and market strategies. **We are seeking candidates who are available for a Summer 2025 Internship and beyond, ideally with the ability to commit to a one-year engagement, including full-time work during the summer and part time hours while attending school. Position Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of Legacy’s client performance reporting systems
- Assist with maintenance of third-party trading software (RedBlack) and performance reporting (Black Diamond).
- Provide daily support for the investment team as needed.
- Deliver superior client service and troubleshooting problems.
- Work closely with Client Advisors and Portfolio Managers to achieve our client’s wealth management goals and objectives.
- Responsible for capturing and cataloging manager meeting notes and internal discussions.
- Actively monitoring daily market movements and manager performance.
- Assist Portfolio Managers with onboarding, transitioning, modifying and the ongoing management of client investments from conceptualization through construction of client portfolios.
- Assist with updating and maintaining market and economic related databases.
- Assist with the generation, review, and communication of periodic reports (e.g., transaction, cash flow, portfolio drift) for possible investment implications.
- Monitor cash balances and periodic money movement to proactively discuss with Client Teams.
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
- Familiarity with markets and investments – such as: Mutual Funds, Stocks & Bonds, and Alternative investments (Hedge Funds & Private Equity).
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with Bloomberg and performance reporting software is a plus.
