What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper/Finance Position position at Legacy Christian Academy?
Bookkeeping/Finance Position
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepares payroll, manages timekeeping records, & processes reimbursements
Works in collaboration with Office Manager to perform various HR tasks such as
maintaining personnel folders, on & off boarding, generating personnel contract
agreements, tracking PTO, and workers compensation.
Prepares deposits for the bank
Performs Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable functions
Monitors & reconciles various accounts (student, cafeteria, bank &credit cards)
Balances tuition and fee accounts to accounting system & follows up on
delinquent accounts
Assists Administration in overseeing the purchasing function of all programs
within the school according to the budget
Assists in the creation and adherence-to financial policies & procedures
Generate reports, monitors spending (budget vs actual), and assists in
budget preparation.
Communicates effectively with teachers, staff members, students, parents
administrators, and the school board
Reconciles credit card & bank accounts monthly
Performs various clerical duties
Competencies & Skills:
The ideal candidate must have excellent organizational skills, be accurate and a
problem solver. Confidentiality is a must for this position. Experience with
Quickbooks Online & FACTS/RenWeb is preferred, not required.
A clear background check is a requirement of the position.
Hours:
Approximately 25-30 hours, Monday through Friday during the school year.
Approximately 20-25 hours at least 3 days a week, during the summer.
Job Type: Part-time
