Overview
We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Drafting and proficiency in various CAD software applications. This role is essential for creating detailed technical drawings and plans that support our engineering and product design. As a CAD Drafter, you will collaborate closely with engineers and architects to ensure that designs meet specifications and are executed accurately.
Duties
- Create and modify technical drawings, schematics, and layouts based on project requirements and on-site manufacturing purposes.
- Collaborate with engineers to understand specifications and design criteria.
- Efficiently, thoroughly, and independently solicit data required to create detailed drawings/designs using AutoCAD software
- Lead quality control activities by working with project engineers and technicians to ensure all data is properly documented that is required to build the various assemblies and parts.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the drafting process.
- Maintain organized documentation of all drafts, revisions, and related correspondence.
- Present rough design drafts for client approval.
- Ensuring product designs meet required safety and structural standards.
- Generating Solid and Surface CAD models using AutoCAD software.
- Blending technique and aesthetics to create final designs.
- Presenting various design perspectives for construction improvements and adaptations.
- Finalizing AutoCAD models and presenting models to clients.
- Completing job reports.
Experience
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD required.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or architectural studies or Associate’s degree in related discipline and two (2) years related experience or certification in drafting technology and three (3) years related experience.
- Advanced knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering, and architecture
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
- Knowledge of state safety and structure regulations.
- Excellent technical design skills.
- A keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
- Ability to manage project/assigned tasks
